What Does Our Dog Grooming Include?

All dog grooming services include a bath, facial, shampoo, conditioner and other services. When booking an appointment you can choose between a full groom or a mini groom.

Choosing the Right Groom Your Dog

It can be difficult to know when your dog needs a full groom or mini groom. After all, many people have never heard of them before. Because of this we want to provide some helpful advice when deciding which groom your dog needs.

When to Go For A Full Groom

  • Your dog needs a haircut from head to tail.
  • It's been 6 weeks or more since your dog's last grooming.
  • You want a specific haircut or your dog's hair requires grooming with hand scissors (see below).

When to Opt For A Mini Groom

  • Your dog needs a trim to keep up haircut.
  • Your dog had a full groom within the last 3 to 4 weeks.
  • The following areas need to be trimmed (ears, face, nails, paw pads and sanitary areas).
The most popular breeds that need a full groom or mini groom are: bichon frisés, doodles, havanese dogs, lhasa apsos, maltese dogs, poodles, schnauzers, spaniels, shih tzus, terriers.

Getting a Full Groom with Hand Scissors

There are breeds that do not need a full groom using clippers. They receive a full groom using hand scissors because their coat does not grow often. We use hand scissors to cut the fur in a way that looks clean and natural to the dog's appearance.

Dog breeds that receive a hand scissor cut are: akitas, cattle dogs, collies, corgis, eskimo dogs, huskies, papillon, pekingese, pomeranians, samoyeds, sheep dogs, shepherds, Japanese chin.
